The main difference between an architect and an architectural designer is the level of professional registration and oversight. Architects are legally registered professionals who have met specific educational and experience requirements, while an architectural designer is a broader term that can be used by individuals with various levels of architectural training and experience, who may or may not be registered.

Interior designers usually only focus on the aesthetic and functional details within a space, while architectural designers or architects concentrate on the entire structure, including both external and internal elements, and structural planning. In essence, architects can be responsible for the entire building, while interior designers just tend to concentrate on the finishing touches within the building.
