This is a challenging, sloping piece of land in the tiny restricted back streets of Dartmouth.

Planning was achieved for a render, stone and timber two storey 3 bed home that shall have PV panels, air source heat pumps and rainwater harvesting.

The shell will be constructed from insulated concrete formwork situated on a raft foundation, with retaining walls and strip foundations holding back the steep land slopes, and a strategic redesign allowed us to avoid the need for rock anchors.

The redesign has also meant that the trees and hedges on the site can be retained, and the work can start immediately instead of waiting for the nesting bird season to complete.
