The former Woodside Cottage in Looe is a site accommodating two detached new build four bedroom houses built into the rock face, sandwiched between a top and bottom road on the banks of the East Looe River estuary, over five storeys and 21 metres in height.

The rock face was retained using rock anchors and concrete retaining walls. The properties use insulated concrete formwork for their build up, and are powered by solar panels and batteries. Air source heat pumps provide the heating, and rainwater harvesting the grey water.

Each house is around 3,000sf, and every primary room faces the river front and afford their own terrace.
